Cord Laos is seeking recruiting new exciting role for the following position


  • Position:      Admin and Logistic Support Officer
  • Duty-station:       Vientiane, Lao PDR + occasional travel to provinces, Laos
  • Start date:             July 2020
  • Duration: Full-time. Fix term until December 2021

Main responsibilities include:
1/ Administrative and Logistical support
  1. Coordinate the delivery of capacity development trainings and related events including promotion and liaison with the participants to the workshops and management of the list of participants
  2. Coordinate the operations and logistic arrangements (e.g. arranging bookings of venues, schedules, organising travel and accommodation) of project’s events and activities
  3. Support the team with budget estimates preparation, payment and collection of supportive documents/receipts
  4. Support the preparation and management of all services contracts
  5. Ensure the project partners’ understanding of and adherence to Cord’s policies

2/ Documentation and filing
  1. Maintain proper filing system for project’s documents (e.g. contracts, agreements, financial documents, events’ evaluations, training records, etc.) both hard copies and electronic files
  2. Support with data collection and data entry for monitoring and evaluation purpose

3/ Other
  1. Provide regular inputs to internal reports of project activities verbally or in writing
  2. Actively contribute to a positive learning environment within the project team and partners
  3. Participate in regular project team meetings and other workshops when needed
  4. Contribute to promote the use of other general Cord Laos civil society support programme communications tools (e.g. website, face book page) and public meetings spaces
  5. Fulfil other tasks as assigned

 Key qualifications:
  1. Degree in business administration, management, finance (or similar) and proven demonstrated previous work experience
  2. Experience in organisations of events and meetings, and logistics coordination
  3. Knowledge or experience working with the Lao civil society sector
  4. Experience of working in a multicultural environment would be an asset
  5. Experience of managing proactive and effective communication and relationships with multiple stakeholders
  6. Experience in elaborating communication support materials
  7. Understanding of development and peacebuilding programmes
  8. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
  9. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office)
  10. Proactive, well organised and pay attention to details
  11. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  12. Excellent time management skills
  13. Ability to work efficiently as a team player as well as independently
  14. Ability to support others, facilitate collaboration and peer learning
  15. Willingness to travel to provinces
