Association for Development of Women and Legal Education (ADWLE) is Non-Profit Association registered officially in 2012 under supervision by the Ministry of Home Affairs. ADWLE is now implementing several projects especially the project women access to justice supported by Care International. In order to implement the project effectively, ADWLE needs an External Consultant on Monitoring and Evaluation ( M&E) to train our staff on 20 – 22 June 2020. ADWLE staff capacity building workshop in Monitoring & Evaluation


Scope of Work: Design and deliver a foundation-level M&E training workshop over 3 days (in English). The workshop will cover:
  • Introduction to M&E – what, why, how, when
  • Designing M&E plans
  • M&E data collection methods – baseline & endline surveys, pre- & post-tests, interviews, focus group discussions
  • Basic analysis of data
  • Reporting on progress
The capacity building training should be highly participatory, with the aim of enabling participants to practice skills, use tools and techniques and develop competencies during the training, which they will be able to apply in their work. The training should be tailored to ADWLE’s scope of work and include exercises based on ADWLE’s projects and activities. The consultant will also undertake an evaluation of the workshop.   The consultant must be available to answer follow-up questions and provide feedback on M&E documents developed by ADWLE for a period of 2 months after the completion of the training.
Outputs:
  • Agenda for training workshop
  • Deliver the training workshop over 3 days
  • Powerpoint slides and M&E resource materials (e.g. planning templates, example survey questions, checklists, links to resources) in English
  • Workshop evaluation report (4-5 pages)

Timeframe:
Consultant provides training agenda and Powerpoint slides to ADWLE for translation   At least 2 days prior to training date
Deliver workshop 3 days to be agreed between 20 -22 June 2020 (may include weekends). The first 2 days of training should ideally be on consecutive days.
Submit workshop evaluation report and M&E resource materials package to ADWLE 2 weeks after the end of the training
Answer ad hoc questions and provide feedback on M&E documents developed by ADWLE 2 month period after end of the training

ADWLE responsibilities:
  • Prepare a suitable workshop venue, catering, stationery (as specified by consultant)
  • Provide English-Lao translation for training agenda and Powerpoint slides
  • Provide interpreter for the workshop
